Beauty Queen maker Jonas Gaffud is scheduled to come to Cagayan de Oro with his training team to conduct a workshop with Miss CDO candidates and other aspiring local beauty queens next month.
The Miss CDO Organizing Committee of the City Tourism Council, Higalaay Festival Committee, and PLDT will bring the Aces and Queens team of Gaffud for a 2-day workshop. He will also sit as one of the pageant judges of the Miss Cagayan de Oro Pageant on August 13 at the Atrium of Limketkai Center.
Gaffud is known for his award winning team of beauty queens and trainors with these beauty queens under their wing: Megan Young (Miss World 2013), Ariella Arida (Miss Universe 2013 – 3rd Runner-up), Janine Tugonon (Miss Universe 2012-1st Runner-Up), Shamcey Supsup (Miss Universe 2011 – 3rd Runner-up) and Venus Raj (Miss Universe 2010 – 4th Runner-up), and most recently, Miss Pia Wurtzbach, who won as Miss Universe 2015 and incidentally carried Cagayan de Oro as her hometown during the Binibining Pilinas pageant in 2015.
“This is by far one of the biggest happenings for our local pageant- having the world class beauty queen maker come to the city to share his expertise on runway coaching and personality development for aspiring beauty queens,” says Gean T. Cesar, head of the Miss CDO organizing Committee.
A presscon will be held for Gaffud and his team, as well as for other tourism-related activities during his entire stay in the City.
