I used to be like some people, complaining about how expensive gym monthly dues were. When I started working out (just before turning 40 years old), I began to understand why regular trips to the gym should be a part of everyone’s daily routine – and budget. Apart from this, you can also choose from a variety of fitness programs and join as many group classes as you can because your membership is unlimited. Things You Can Do at Anytime Fitness

Aside from the treadmills and elliptical trainers, AF also has free weights/dumbbells, kettlebells, exercise balls, rowers, stationary bikes, and other equipment that are among the best brands in the world. Their treadmills, for example, have WiFi connectivity. So you can browse or watch videos and listen to music while getting good cardio exercise.

If you prefer to join fitness programs or group classes, you’ll have a lot of options to choose from as AF has quite plenty of them. Here are some of the most popular ones:

1.Yoga

This is perfect for those who want a total body workout without having to do high intensity training. Yoga trains you to become more flexible, focused, strong, and toned. It also helps you relax. Yoga combines mental, spiritual, and physical exercises. At the end of each session, you’re guaranteed to feel good all over – and completely refreshed.

2.Zumba

If you like dancing, this is the perfect workout for you.

Zumba was created by Beto Perez, a Colombian choreographer. It combines aerobic and dance movements and is a mixture of salsa, hiphop, samba, mambo, reggaeton, merengue, and other dance styles.

AF has Zumba classes from Monday to Saturday.

3.Belly Dance

Belly dancing used to be just something you perform in special programs. Over the years, it has developed into an effective workout that targets the spine, torso, and abdominal muscles. It’s also good for the arms, shoulders, legs, and back muscles.

4. Muay Thai

This is one of the fitness programs that I want to try out (in the very near future). Muay Thai, also known as Thai Boxing, is a physical and mental practice or discipline. It combines movements of the fists, knees, shins, and elbows. It is considered a combat sport in Thailand. It also involves the use of different clinching techniques.

5.Boxfit

If you like boxing, this workout is for you. Boxfit is a cardio exercise that uses the elements of boxing training like skipping (ropes), abdominal workouts, boxing drills, and a lot of footwork exercises. It is good for strengthening and toning the muscles. And since it’s a cardio exercise, expect to sweat out a lot!

6.Sexy Dance (In High Heels)

Nope, this is not the kind of dance where you need to sit on someone’s lap. Rather, this kind of sexy dance is the one where you’ll dance for an hour or an hour and a half and improve your balance and coordination while also toning your muscles. After gliding, grinding, swaying, and doing a lot of sexy dance steps, you’ll be drenched in sweat – and feel really good!

7.Ecstatic Dance

If free-form dancing is your cup of tea, Ecstatic Dance might just be the ideal workout for you. This is a type of dance that’s dictated by the music. Normally, the music intensifies as the dance progresses. Also, there’s usually a DJ dishing out different musical genres (World Music and EDM or electronic dance music).

Apart from the abovementioned programs/classes, Anytime Fitness also offers HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) on a per schedule basis. Check out this video of a special HIIT session AF prepared for some bloggers. It was a challenging – and satisfying – experience. It’s the best program if your goal is to burn a lot of fat, lose weight, make your heart healthier, and increase your metabolism.

And as previously mentioned, AF has world-class equipment. This is an indication that they want only the best for their clients. In fact, this was the reason for the slight delay in the gym’s opening date. They didn’t want to open without the top-of-the-line equipment they promised their clients.
