Every February, the Liceo de Cagayan University campus is abuzz with activities commemorating the university’s foundation days. However, with the global health crisis still in full swing, this year’s celebration will be unlike the previous ones.

There will be no parades, food booths, fun games, music and dancing, and all the other usual exciting activities that students and guests enjoy every year. Nevertheless, the Liceo de Cagayan University Alumni Association decided to continue the tradition of holding Regresso, the annual alumni homecoming, albeit in very different circumstances.

Regresso Goes Virtual

In celebration of the 66th founding anniversary of Liceo de Cagayan University, the LDCU Alumni Association will hold Regresso Goes Virtual, this year’s alumni homecoming, on February 27, 2021. This is the first time that the annual event will be celebrated online and streamed to thousands of Liceans across the world.

Hosted by the LDCU high school batch of 1996, Regresso 2021 will serve as a virtual venue for Liceo U alumni to meet, socialize, and share networks with each other. It is the ideal online platform for reminiscing the good old days, for rekindling memories, and reconnecting with friends.

The homecoming festivities will kick off with a virtual Eucharistic celebration.

After the awarding will come the honoring of jubilarians. Each batch will be called and recognized, starting off with the diamond jubilarians, the college batch of 1966, all the way up to the silver jubilarians, the high school and college graduates of 1996.

Aside from awards and recognitions, the LDCU Alumni Association has also prepared special tributes, fun and exciting games, and an electronic raffle.

Special Guests

Just like any other alumni homecoming, Regresso Goes Virtual will be graced by several special guests. LDCUAA President Mafel Pabillore-Gatchalian will have a significant part in the program, along with a distinguished guest speaker.

The most important guest of the evening is University President Dr. Alain Marc P. Golez, whose investiture took place last February 28, 2020, during LDCU’s 65th Foundation Day celebration.
