City of Dreams is a Dream Come True

Three days ago, I stepped inside the paradise called City of Dreams Manila to experience the 2018 Blogapalooza #connecteD event. Although I have been to several first-class hotels and resorts, it was my first time to spend the weekend in a world-class resort and casino. The minute I set foot in the lobby, I was blown away. City of Dreams is a spectacular place; one that you thought you only saw in your dreams.

What is City of Dreams?

City of Dreams is located along Aseana Boulevard and Roxas Boulevard in Paranaque. It is part of Entertainment City. It is an all-in-one destination for families because it houses various forms of entertainment under one roof. This is in addition to hotels and multiple dining options.

The most popular feature of City of Dreams, however, is its casino, which has more or less 365 gaming tables and over a thousand electronic gaming tables and slot machines.

This integrated resort and casino is always bustling with activity as people go in and out every day, trying to make the best of their stay in this paradise on earth.

Why is City of Dreams a Paradise on Earth?

Why is City of Dreams a paradise-come-true? There are a lot of reasons for this, but the most important one would be the kind of feeling that it gives you. Immediately after stepping into the lobby, you are transported into a world you never thought existed. It’s like you weren’t in Metro Manila anymore!

Everything around you somewhat sparkles like gold. Everywhere you look, you’ll see elegance. There are no spectacular or grand artworks or avant-garde architecture, but everything exudes class. Classic and clean lines and luxurious interiors will make you feel like royalty. I felt like a princess every time I walked in the corridors, the lobby, and even in the grand ballroom.

City of Dreams has wide and spacious hallways. Its ceilings are high and simple – but creative. You’ll love taking photos of them. Well, the whole resort and casino complex is actually Instagrammable. Highly Instagrammable.

All these and many other fun, exciting, and innovative features make City of Dreams a dream come true.

More Reasons Why it is A Dream Come True

Aside from the abovementioned, there are other reasons why City of Dreams is a paradise on Earth. Here are some of them:

City of Dreams houses three of the most luxurious hotels in the country.

If you want to fully enjoy your stay at City of Dreams Manila, the best thing to do is book a room in one of their hotels. There are three – Nuwa Hotel, Hyatt Hotel, and Nobu Hotel. Combined, these three hotels’ well-appointed and extra comfortable rooms total to around 946 – all divided in six separate towers.

My friends and I stayed at Nobu Hotel, which was one of the official partners of Blogapalooza.  The boutique hotel, the first of its kind in Metro Manila and Asia is styled by celebrity chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa and is partly owned by respected actor Robert de Niro.

The hotel has quiet elegance and luxury. Its rooms are spacious, relaxing, and has all the comforts of a beautiful home. Staying in one makes you feel like you never left home!

I have a weakness for hotel toiletries.

I love the amenities that come with the rooms, especially the toiletries. Unlike regular hotels and resorts, Nobu provides its guests with only the best – shampoos and conditioners in easy-to-use tubes. There’s even a hairdryer and neatly folded inside the cabinet is a collapsible ironing set.

The beds are really big! They can fit two persons comfortably. You won’t have to worry about moving too much because you’re sure you won’t hit your friend or partner with your elbow!

Best of all, Nobu rooms have beautiful views of the City of Dreams pool and the city.

Oh…before I forget, Nobu has one of the best breakfast buffets in the country, so don’t forget to wake up a little early so you won’t miss the feast!

City of Dreams has a lot of entertainment options for families.

Aside from the casino, City of Dreams also houses different entertainment facilities. The most popular one is the DreamWorks-inspired DreamPlay, a mini-theme park perfect for families. DreamPlay has features and activities like the Dream Studio, Shrek’s Swamp Stomp, DreamTales Library, and DreamTheatre.

For the more mature guests, City of Dreams has The Garage, which combines games and food. The games part has attractions such as a VR Zone,  which features games like the Hospital Escape Terror, Bandai Namco Amusement, MarioKart VR, and SkiRodeo.

The gastro or food part features several restaurants like Pink’s, Farmacy, El Chupacabra, and Little Flour.

Other entertainment options at City of Dreams are the Chaos Club, Centerplay, and City of Dreams KTV.

City of Dreams’ casino is one of the best in the city (and probably in Asia).

If you love playing games at the casino, City of Dreams is definitely the ideal entertainment destination for you. Its casino boasts of a variety of table and electronic games. If you’re new to the casino scene, you can try out the slot machines. If you’ve been playing for quite some time, you’ll want to stay all day.

There’s also a poker room at the City of Dreams casino. In fact, several well-attended international poker events have already been held in the said place.

City of Dreams has a lot of restaurants you can choose from.

Whether it’s fast food, fine dining, casual, premium, or members-only dining you prefer, there’s something for you to feast on at City of Dreams Manila.

City of Dreams Manila has excellent customer service.

City of Dreams Manila knows how to take care of and satisfy its customers. For example, when we couldn’t go inside our room at Nobu Hotel (because our friend was already asleep and the door was double locked), the concierge didn’t leave us until our situation was resolved. It was the perfect example of going the extra mile for a customer.

Finally….

City of Dreams Manila is the best shopping destination.

The Shops at the Boulevard is a 60,000-80,000-square meter shopping mall. It houses some of the most popular global brands. So if you plan to shop, be sure you have your card and a lot of cash with you because you won’t be able to stop once you start!

All these special features make City of Dreams a dream come true. It’s like all the pages of your favorite happily-ever-after storybook jumped to life!
