Dahilayan in Bukidnon is one of my favorite places in the country. Its calm and relaxing ambiance, and the cold weather, make it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. This is why I always look forward to activities or events that allow me to enjoy Dahilayan.
My Potter’s Garden’s Artscape Flower Pressing Workshop is the first of its kind in Dahilayan. It combines nature and wellness with art, creating a perfect escape for those who want a soul-refreshing experience. Happening on Saturday, May 31, the workshop is ideal for ladies 30 years old and up, as well as for mom-and-kid tandems. Kids should be 10 years old and up. Participants will enjoy not only the creative activities and the breathtaking view, but also the good food and good company.

Artscape was conceptualized as a venue for people to rediscover and “reconnect with themselves through nature, art, and meaningful rest”. It’s a summer retreat and an art adventure for anyone who wants to explore and share their creativity while enjoying the peaceful, calming, and refreshing ambiance of Dahilayan. Artscape is also for those who have been feeling lost or confused, or those looking for solace. After all, art brings healing. It is a form of self-care.
The Instructor
Ms. Doris Isubal-Mongaya, fondly called Tita Doris, has been creating and crafting beautiful works of art for years. She has also facilitated numerous workshops over the years. Her workshops are always fun and memorable, with participants going home happy and excited to create more beautiful art pieces.
Tita Doris encourages participants to create personal masterpieces through guided hands-on activities that make every workshop even more meaningful. Her “warm teaching style” makes even the non-artist participants feel welcome and important. Her expertise in flower pressing, terracotta pot decorating, and stone painting are sure to benefit the workshop participants.
