I can’t believe how Ororama has grown over the years!
Back in the late 70s and early 80s, Ororama was our go-to shopping place. Whether we were looking for everyday items of something more special – such as Christmas gifs – we always went to Ororama. I bought a lot of Sanrio stuff, Snoopy items, and Sweet Dreams pocketbooks at Ororama. Practically everything we needed – and wanted – was at Ororama. This story remains true nowadays.
Despite the presence of big-name malls, the chain of stores known for its “total lower price” has grown (and continues to grow) significantly. The Ororama we see today is a shoppers haven not only because of all the world-class items you can buy but also because of their affordable prices. Even hard-to-find items are available in Ororama!
One proof of Ororama’s growth is its addition of the Annex Building in its Cogon (main) branch. Shopping is now extra convenient for everyone because there are more items to choose from and more space to move around.
Additionally, the Annex Building has an Event Center on the 2nd floor. It’s where special activities and events are/can be held from time-to-time. And on Saturday, when the Annex Building formally opens, the Event Center will welcome special guests from Metro Manila.
Annex Building Opening
The Ororama Annex Building will have its grand opening on Saturday, December 16. One of the special treats is a variety show featuring talented performer Sam Concepcion. Dubbed the Ultimate Performer, Sam first hogged the limelight when he won ABS-CBN’s Little Big Star Season 1 Big Division back in 2006. He has appeared on television (Super Inggo was the first) and is a known host and VJ. He also dabbles in theater from time-to-time. Sam is the recipient of various recognitions and awards from several groups and organizations or agencies like the Department of Education and the United Nations Youth Association of the Philippines.
Sam will entertain you along with other special guests, GMA artist Lindsay De Vera and The Good Son’s Mark Rivera. The show will be at the Event Center, which is located on the 2nd floor of the Annex Building. Lights go on at 3pm, so be there early to make sure you’ll get good seats.
If you go there earlier or as soon as the doors open, you’ll get a chance to bring home special treats from Ororama. The first 200 customers with at least Php200 purchase at the department store will each receive Php200 gift certificates. Meanwhile, the first 500 customers to purchase supermarket items worth Php100 will each be given Ororama gift packs.
Ororama Carpark
If you’re worried about finding a good parking space, don’t be. Ororama Cogon just opened its basement parking, which can accommodate around 60 cars. Aside from the assurance that your car is well-guarded and safe, you’ll also be helping unclog the streets as you won’t have to occupy corners and spaces that vehicles can use to lighten the road traffic.
So if you want the best Christmas shopping experience, with world-class entertainment on the side, see you on Saturday for the Ororama Annex Building grand opening and special variety show!
The Ororama Annex Building entrance is located along Mortola Street, across the Xavier University back entrance.
See you there!
