My husband and I have been married for 13 years. Our relationship is based on trust and relies a lot on communication. We’re pretty much content with what life has given and continues to give us. We have stable jobs. We have good friends. We have our families and relatives beside us. We’re in good health. We are blessed.
One thing that we constantly talk about, though, is the possibility of having our own house. Yes, we have a small – but comfortable – house now. But, it’s owned by my husband’s family. Our dream is to have one that we can call our own. We’ve looked into several options already, but we’re quite picky with what we want, so none of them really interested us. Until we heard about Primavera Residences.
The Green Condo
Developed by certified green builder Italpinas Development Corporation (IDC), Primavera Residences is Cagayan de Oro’s first eco-friendly condominium. Located in the heart of the booming uptown community of the city, Primavera is literally a few steps away from SM City CDO and is surrounded by schools and establishments. It is also just minutes away from CDO’s finest golf course, the Pueblo de Oro Golf Club. These, however, are not the main reasons why my husband and I fell in love with Primavera Residences.
I have been to Primavera a number of times and have even had the chance to explore the condo. I was given the chance to check out some of the units. And I tell you, the minute I stepped inside one, I knew I found the home of our dreams! With the building’s natural ventilation, there was a steady flow of fresh air. Natural light seeped through the windows, which made me feel totally comfortable and relaxed. This was why we were told that Primavera residents saved a lot on their electricity bills.
Another eco-friendly feature I like is the semi-transparent photovoltaic panel installed in the rooftop, which was where residents washed and dried their laundry.
If you like some exercise, or if you need to cool off during the hot summer months, there’s a swimming pool on the second floor of the condo. Residents, of course, are free to use the pool. Being a swimming addict, this is a major plus point for me.
My husband and I are completely satisfied with what Italpinas has to offer with Primavera Residences. That’s why we were surprised – and became even more excited – when we found out that the award winning developer is launching a groundbreaking project in the second quarter of this year. This major development is called Primavera City, and it has all the stuff dream homes are made of.
Primavera City
So, how major is this major development? IDC chairman and COO Romolo Valentino Nati tells us.
“Primavera City is a fitting follow-up to our highly successful and multi-awarded Primavera Residences, which caught the fancy of not just Filipino, but even foreign buyers and property experts,” the Italian architect emphasized. He further revealed that the first phase of Primavera City will involve the construction of two towers of integrated multifunctional buildings (commercial, office, and residential) with 11 floors each.
Located at the Pueblo de Oro Business Park in Upper Carmen, the Php635-million project will start its construction phase by the 3rd quarter of this year. Primavera City is expected to be completed by the 3rd quarter of 2018.
Like Primavera Residences, Primavera City will be the first of its kind here in Cagayan de Oro. According to IDC President Atty. Jose “Jojo” D. Leviste III, the two towers of Primavera City Phase 1 will have 337 units (57 commercial, 231 studio-type units, 22 one-bedroom units, and 27 two-bedroom units). The average sizes of these units will be 50 to 60 square meters for commercial units, 28 square meters for studio-type units, 47 square meters for single-bedroom units, and 70 square meters for the two-bedroom units.

Leviste said that extensive marketing will be conducted to make sure that they will be able to reach out to their target market, which includes employed and/or self-employed individuals with a gross family income of at least P50,000; such as local entrepreneurs, SMEs, OFWs, young professionals, and retirees, among others. Since CDO is now considered an emerging tourism and investment destination, Leviste believes that Primavera City is the perfect buy for investors and first-time homeowners.
First-time homeowners. If our plans push through, that’s what my husband and I will be called once Primavera City opens in 2018. We’ll try our best to invest in this sustainable development project, which, like our first love Primavera Residences, has natural ventilation, semi-transparent photovoltaic panels, natural lighting, and other passive green features.
We’re quite excited with what IDC is cooking up. And we find it the perfect follow up to a multi-awarded green living condominium like Primavera Residences. Like the condo, PR City is expected to attract both local and foreign buyers, property experts, and investors.
Architect Nati describes Primavera City as a modern Italian designed development “infused with eco-friendly architecture”. Exactly what my husband and I are looking for.
As I said in the beginning, our relationship is based on trust. And this trust is what made us decide that we need to invest on Primavera City. Our dream city. Our future home.
