Cindy Obeñita, Miss Cagayan de Oro 2019, will represent CDO and Misamis Oriental in this Sunday’s (July 11) Bb. Pilipinas pageant. Over the past months, she has been busy posting updates on her social media, sharing her pageant-related activities with Kagay-anons and Misamisnons. Judging on the comments on her posts, she has the full support of the people of CDO and MisOr.
Cindy is not new to pageants as she has joined quite a few of them in the past. In fact, the first time I met her was when she won as Liceo de Cagayan University’s Miss University Games in 2014. A year later, she was crowned Miss Camiguin Tourism.
Aside from pageantry, Cindy is also a favorite endorser and events host. I was in many of the events she hosted and she has become one of my favorites because of her charm, wit, fluency, and confidence. She knows how to keep the crowd interested and entertained. She knows how to ask the right questions. She knows how to interact with people.
Cindy is also an academic achiever. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Mass Communications degree from Liceo de Cagayan University. In addition, she is the founder of CROWN CDO: A Cervical Cancer Awareness and Prevention Circle. She is also currently employed as tourism operations officer for the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental.
