As a young girl, I lived in a big house with a spacious lawn. Our ancestral house in Corrales Avenue was where my sister, cousins, and I spent a lot of time playing in the garden. There were also times when we hid the whole day in our large bedroom, playing whatever games we could think of. Sometimes, we would put up blanket tents in the room! We save the most important part of the unit for last – the bedroom. It did not disappoint. With a bed I can comfortably sink myself into, plus a breathtaking view of the city, it was a scene as inviting as an ice cold drink on a scorching hot day. If it were my bedroom, I’d want to curl up in bed the whole day. The minute you lay your head on your pillow, you’re sure to fall asleep.

Then again, as the condominium has its own swimming pool, I can also picture myself enjoy the relaxing and rejuvenating embrace of the water. I imagine myself spending my mornings in the pool.

I imagine mornings with the sun kissing me, as if telling me to enjoy every luxury that’s within my reach. And in the daytime, I’ll enjoy the cool air coming from the building’s natural ventilation.

I can spend the whole day inside my unit. Everything that I need is there. I can watch all the shows and movies I want without worrying about energy costs piling up. Or, I can spend the whole day curled up in the plush sofa, reading my favorite book. I can also invite friends over for lunch or dinner, or to spend the whole day with me. We can watch movies, exchange stories, and marvel at the sky as it turns into a colorful field at sunset.
