3 Simple Workouts You Can Do in the Gym
Some people do not feel comfortable going to the gym because they are either self-conscious or are not too confident about their workout routine. 1. Before stepping up your game, you need to loosen your muscles first. You can do this two ways. Your first option is to do simple stretching exercises. You’ll find a lot of them here. If you’ve done yoga several times, you can do more complex stretching like the ones that Sadie Nardini does.
Your second option is to go on the treadmill for 5-10 minutes. Just enough to get your muscles moving. If you want to, you can extend your treadmill routine and do 20 to 30 minutes of walking and running. It’s all up to you. Listen to your body and try to figure out what it needs to “wake up”.
2. Now that you’ve warmed up, it’s time to move on to another workout level.
If you want a cardio workout that targets your arms, core, and legs, go for shadow boxing. All you need to do is pretend that you are boxing with your shadow.

3. Next on your list are dumbbell exercises. They are perfect for when you want to work with a little weight and work on your arms, core, and chest. There are a lot of options to choose from, with each one targeting a specific part of your body (particularly the arms).

When you’re done with all three exercises, take some time to cool down to bring your heart rate back to normal. You can do a simple breathing exercise or you can choose to lie on the floor (or your exercise mat, if you have one) and do the savasana/corpse pose.
Doing this workout routine regularly will help bring you closer to your fitness goal. The secret, of course, is to be consistent. You have to discipline and push yourself to workout as regularly as possible. This shouldn’t be a problem though, as all you need to do is go several floors up or down to get to the gym.
